Model United Nations Conference was organised at Rabindranath World School on 16th and 17th September, 2021 adhering to Covid-19 protocols and the safety guidelines. The Vice-Chairman, Mr. Gaurav Tomar, the Director, Mrs. Munmun Banerjee, and the Principal, Mrs. Poonam Grover graced the occasion with their benign presence. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp with the enchantment of the shlokas invoked the spirit of the day. The conference was attended by over 80 students from Classes 9 to 12. The young delegates representing different countries enthusiastically presented their arguments on topics of global significance. The thought-provoking ideas that were discussed included ‘Stabilising the situation in Afghanistan after the takeover of Taliban’ and ‘Extreme weather events like floods, wildfires, cyclones and droughts.’ The students learnt more about the various dimensions involved in political diplomacy and international relations. They also got an opportunity to brainstorm and suggest ways to resolve the issues. Students had a wonderful time debating, socializing, and discussing issues of national and international significance. The two days’ rich experience culminated with the closing ceremony. The Principal appreciated the efforts and active participation of MUNites and gave trophies and certificates to the outstanding delegates. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the Principal.

    Rabindranath World School organised a workshop on “Importance of Mental Well Being” for the faculty members on 4th September 2021.The session was conducted by the School Counsellor, Ms. Geetika Singh. We all have been living in turbulent times due to unprecedented crisis created by covid-19 pandemic, which has resulted in experiencing anxiety, grief, depression etc. To address these challenges, the fun-filled session was organised, which laid stress on keeping body and mind fit and healthy through yoga, meditation, self-awareness and mental resilience programmes. The educators had great time during engaging and interactive workshop. The session helped faculty members to overcome the stress and anxiety. The session culminated with a fun-filled activity “Power in Gratitude” which fostered the values of compassion, optimism and self-esteem.

      The Investiture Ceremony of the newly elected Prefectorial Board of Rabindranath World School, Gurugram was held on September 1 adhering strictly to Covid-19 protocols and safety guidelines. The Vice-Chairman, Mr. Gaurav Tomar, the Director, Mrs. Munmun Banerjee, and the Principal, Mrs. Poonam Grover graced the occasion with their benign presence. The office bearers took the pledge to uphold the school’s motto in high regard and esteem. The office bearers were conferred upon badges by their esteemed dignitaries. Donning the mantle of responsibility, the new council members pledged to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities. The Principal congratulated the office bearers and advised them to honour the responsibility and trust bestowed upon them and become an example for others to follow. The Director reminded them that with authority comes responsibility towards their school and peers. The Vice-Chairman, Mr. Gaurav Tomar motivated and inspired them to uphold the school’s flag high. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the Principal and rendition of the National Anthem.
