Rabindranath World School , Gurugram, celebrated its Annual day on 23rd December, 2023 at its school premises amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of the honourable chief guest, Dr. Sujata Shahi, the vice - chancellor, IILM University, Gurugram. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed chief guest followed by welcome song and dance.
The cultural event titled "Vasudhaiv Kutumbakom" conveyed the idea in an explicit manner that the entire world is interconnected and all the people are part of a single global family. The theme reflected the bond of togetherness. The elegant and magnificent performances mesmerised the audience and offered a visual treat to all. The glitters of RWS rejuvenated everyone with their scintillating footsteps and transported the audience to the world of fantasy. The most riveting performance which drew an unceasing applause was the grand finale - an amalgamation of folk dance forms of India. It added great elan as the enthusiastic students danced on the floor with grace and poise. The chief guest, Dr. Sujata Shahi , urged students to hone and sharpen their talents and potentials to carve a niche not only to bring laurels to school but also aim to bring glory to the nation as well. She appreciated the efforts of students and teachers who had strived hard to put up such a brilliant show. She also stressed the importance of co - curricular activities to ensure the wholesome education which is essential for the development of an all round personality of a student. The Principal, Mrs. Poonam Grover proposed the vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude to the RWS family for their tireless effort to make the function a grand success.
