22nd April - Rabindranath World school celebrated Earth day 2023 with full joy and vigor with the theme of "Invest in our planet". Students of all classes were made aware of the problems caused by climate change, increased use of non biodegradable products, loss of biodiversity and the entire school community was also engaged in interactive sessions and activities to make each one understand their duties & responsibilities towards Mother nature. Students also pitched in their innovative ideas whereby Mother Earth can be benefited in several ways. Students of class 6th-9th had organised an Earth quiz in which many children participated enthusiastically, while our senior students took out time for gardening, maintaining the school lawn, planting new saplings etc.

A myriad of other activities were also conducted in classrooms. Students made paper cut outs of hands saving Earth.

A special assembly was conducted in the school auditorium and students took the oath on Earth Day to protect the earth from pollution. Teachers addressed the students emphasizing the importance of aforestation, planting of trees and the need for everyone to put together their efforts and get into action, in protecting our planet Earth.

    Rabindranath World School organised an Orientation Programme for the parents on 29th March 2023. The programme was an interaction platform for the new students along with their parents to connect & learn about the vision, misson, curricullum,the rules & the policies of the school. The programme commenced with a warm welcome followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
    The chairman Wing Commander Y. S. Tomar (Retd), highlighted the importance of discipline and values in the life of a student. He also stressed the need of an ongoing partnership between parents & school to bring about holistic development of the students. This was follwed by a presentation which briefed the parents about the co-scholastic activities, the teaching pedagogy, the overview of the various subjects & the activities to be undertaken in the year ahead.
    It culminated with an interactive session with the parents and vote of thanks proposed by the Principal, Ms. Poonam Grover.

      “A Healthy Mind resides in a Healthy Body” RWS celebrated World Health Day with an array of activities promoting physical and mental well-being. A special assembly was conducted to sensitise the students regarding healthy eating habits and importance of physical exercise. Rabindranites participated enthusiastically in various activities like poster making,slogan writing,healthy snack making etc.
      The ideas portrayed through poster making and slogan writing revealed a great concern for the health of burgeoning humanity. Posters were so meaningful that they seem to have touched the crux of the problem of the deteriorating health of growing population due to unhealthy eating habits.Healthy snack making activity also helped to raise awareness among students about nutritional eating habit.The Principal, Mrs. Poonam Grover also apprised the students about following healthy lifestyle.
